Collaboration with University of Tasmania03 Feb

ACPA’S Head of Music Nathaniel Andrew is embarking on a partnership with the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music which is part of the University of Tasmania this week in Brisbane. The partnership will launch The ACPA Gospel choir as part of the performance curriculum for students at ACPA.

Upcoming Show - Knock Knock

The Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA) and QPAC present the new voice of young Aboriginal performers with their show Knock Knock, combining music, acting and dance to create a tapestry for a unique pattern of renewal. The focus changes from storytelling through movement, music or mimetics, but always stays on the extraordinary performers of ACPA.

On 29 May, the Cert IV actors, musicians and Diploma dancers performed for the first Australian Indigenous College of Business Graduation night. They performed two pieces, one a rendition of “From Little things Big things Grow” sung by Makita Donovan, Lisa Purcell and accompanied by Jarrod Mabo. This was their first performance in front of an audience outside of ACPA.
